Loon

Wem van Loon (Breda, 1962) is a Dutch painter who trained at the Municipal Academy of Fine Arts in Arendonk.

Her work is characterized as a physical and mental process; her motto is the quote by Slauerhoff: "I can live in my paintings; I never found shelter anywhere else."

She paints from an inner, almost obsessive urge without a specific message, in which the search through painting takes center stage.
